3 yr. old male Peke.
Originally came into rescue feeling kind of down due to kennel cough. Now that he is feeling better he is blossoming. He is the sweetest boy who loves the attention but is not constantly all over you. He is doing great with everybody that comes over and with the other dogs, cats are unknown. He is crate trained/unknown if he is housebroken.
Donations are needed because he will need eyelid surgery. This is a fairly common occurance in several breeds of dogs but can be costly. By the time I pay for alter/shots/worming/grooming/frontline/microchip and the extra surgery I can be in the hole quite a bit. I desperatly need the publics help in helping to "fix" these dogs that are dumped at shelters because their own owners decided it was easier to get a dog that did not need medical attention versus fixing the pet that has loved them for years. The more help I get in bringing down the 2800.00 vet bill the more medical needs dogs I can bring in. Even donating a bag of dogfood helps as food expense itself runs $500.00 dollars a month.
Placement
Webster was placed into a wonderful home several months ago. I still get regular updates and they are absolutly in love with him. His disabilities did not slow him down at all and they state he is a wonderful addition to the household.
UPDATE: After a vet check it
UPDATE: After a vet check it has been determined that he has old injuries. Probably hit by a car at some point and was never seen by a vet. He had a broken jaw and hip that healed itself. He walks fine but cannot jump up and eats just fine but cannot open his mouth all the way. He has to take small pieces of food and nibbles on his hotdog treats. He is well worth having. I have fallen in love with him and so will you.
