15 week old Border Collie mix puppy. Special needs. This group came into rescue with 3 puppies 2 of which did not make it. All puppies had really bad pneumonia. This little girl was put on lots of rest and injectable antibiotics which did the trick. She has had a multitude of xrays and the last one showed vast improvement with her lungs. She is special needs due to the fact that we do not know to what extent her lungs will heal or if scar tissue will forever make it difficult for her to be very active. If you are willing to have a dog that may never run a marathon but be a great companion, please call. Adoption fee is 250.00 to cover her spay/dhlpp/worming/frontline/heartgard and some medical expenses.
Placement
Jessica was finally placed at a year old into a great home. Her new mom works at a respritory clinic, we could not have asked for more. She had several days of visiting the vets to get everything in order but is now doing great.
Jessica is now 7 months old
Jessica is now 7 months old and doing great. Sadly, she is still in foster care. She really needs to find a forever home of her own. She still breaths funny but has no problem keeping up with everybody. Still will never be able to run a marathon but walks are no problem. She only weighs about 30 pounds and is full grown.
